I use the finest cork rings reasonably attainable for my rods. The grips are the connection to the angler. I shape each grip for the right feel for each model rod I carry. I take great pride in my craft. The grips are sized to each model and are shaped to a classic "cigar". I can make other grip shapes upon request. For the reel seats, there is are several choices. I usually use a reel seat and wood choice that best fits the rod that I'm building, I use only high quality hardware and fine woods. The stripping guides are Mildrum carboloy, they are durable and have a timeless look.Snake Brand guides and tip tops have been my choice for their consistency and durability. I wrap my rods with silk or nylon. I use spar varnish with UV protection for the rod finish, it is the durable and gives depth to the finish. The finish takes 4-6 coats. Each one of my rods comes with a rod bag and an aluminum rod tube. The rod tube has my label, which has the rod model, serial number, rod weight, and date of the build on it. I hand inscribed my rods with my name, the model, and the serial number. I warranty the workmanship for as long as I’m alive and able. Wear and tear, misuse, or accidental breakage will be handled on an individual basis; I will do everything I can to keep your heirloom out on the water.
